TNW MAD — environment and dignity in the same sentence

The New World Madagascar

TNW MAD is an NGO working where ecological collapse and poverty systems overlap. The mission is blunt: regenerate what can still grow back, build useful local production so income does not depend on destroying the same forests, and keep education and culture inside the definition of “impact”.

What makes the human different is consciousness. It is wisdom and creation.

Three programme axes

The field story is not one silver bullet. It is a bundle of habits: planting and assisted natural regeneration, honest product cycles, and books or art that keep the “why” legible.

Field presence and long-view restoration — documentation comes next, honesty first.

Reforestation & assisted natural regeneration

Nurseries, planting seasons and long-view restoration targets are the visible spine of the programme. Milestones like reported tree counts are published as work advances — not as marketing magic, but as accountability to supporters who deserve numbers they can trust.

Local production that funds the work

Soaps, teas, powders and other bioproduct ideas are not “green shopping” for its own sake. They are small engines: margin that can return to planting days, transport, and the unglamorous costs of running community-scale production without pretending it is a factory in Europe.

Education, books and cultural transmission

Publications and storytelling are how a mission survives bad news cycles. They are also how people far away meet Madagascar as peers, not as a backdrop. TCOTPE highlights selected books and wearables with the same solidarity rules as the original catalogue.

Solidarity economy, explained plainly

There is no card checkout on this site on purpose. You build a cart, email the team, and confirm payment and handoff in a human thread — often MVola, bank transfer when agreed, or pickup in Antananarivo when that matches reality.

That friction is part of the ethics: money should not disappear into an anonymous pipeline.

How TCOTPE supports TNW MAD

TCOTPE is the editorial shell: clearer navigation, translated pages, roadmap history, and a store experience that keeps the Madagascar team in control of fulfilment. Your purchase still belongs to the same people who know the nursery and the neighbourhood.

If you only remember one thing

TNW MAD is trying to refuse two lies: that nature can be saved without justice for people, and that poverty can be solved without protecting the living systems people depend on. Everything here — store, roadmap, support — is meant to serve that double honesty.
